My Bio

I’ve always enjoyed working out. Since I can remember my brothers and I kept active in soccer, gymnastics, and other sport activities. I managed to grasp the sport of gymnastics at the age of 7 and have loved it ever since. My mother hoped I'd be the next Nadia, but that was going to have to remain a dream. I had a wonderful coach that was very enthusiastic about my gymnastic ability. I competed up until I was 16 years old, then I entered High School in Laurel, MD. Throughout High School I did Pom Poms and Wrestling Stats. At age 18 I started coaching gymnastics and about that same time I joined a gym and got hooked on aerobics. It didn't take long before I had the desire to teach my own group fitness classes, so I got certified and started teaching. In between teaching and coaching, I was a nursing student at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD and had a full time job as an assistant to an Oral Surgeon.

I competed in Hawaiian Tropic Pageants for a while and held titles as Miss Hawaiian Tropic Washington, DC and Miss Hawaiian Tropic Virginia. After I was told that I was too muscular for Hawaiian Tropic International, I hit the circuit of Bikini Contest and did quite well.

At the age 25, I met my husband and married in 2000. We have 2 handsome young boys, Marcello 2, and Domenic 5.

One day and after looking at Oxygen magazine for years, I decided to enter the world of figure competitions. At my first show, I showed up as a spectator with a bikini just in case. I met a good friend, Celeste Chance, who convinced me to enter and told me I had what it takes to do well. Since then, I haven't looked back. I love to compete, I find it gives me a personal high. I love to see all of the girls and how their bodies change with good nutrition and knowledge. A very close friend of mine and fellow competitor, Zakia Hatch, told me to reach for higher goals and I do, everyday.

With the support of my adoring husband, family and friends, I will continue to compete and strive to make it to the top.
