What
are you eating?. The first step to create a leaner you is to watch
what you eat. I never liked the word diet, I'd rather refer to it as a lifestyle.
The food that I eat when preparing for a show or a photo shoot is no different
than any other foods that I eat year round.
What are your fitness goals? The first thing you need
to figure out is, are your trying to lose weight, put on muscle, or are
you just trying to increase your cardiovasicular conditioning. Setting
goals motivates the mind and body to get the results you that you desire.
When setting your goals be realistic, choose a body fat you want to lose,
how many inches you want to take off your waist, or how many calories
do you want to burn during your workout. Finally, choose a target date
that will motivate you to reach your goals, the Memorial Day, your Birthday,
etc..
Are you keeping records? It is very common for someone
to know exactly what excersises they perform, how many reps they do, how
far they run, how many calories they burn on the treadmill. Can you answer
similar questions when it comes to the way you eat? Keeping track of what
you eat, knowing the calories, the protien, the sugar content, and ingredients,
these things are equally important if not more so than your exercise routine.
Don't work against yourself, remember to alway eat healthy. Then you can
enjoy the holidays and occasional deserts.
